Two-Time Wilson ITA Southwest Region Coach of the Year (2014, 2017) Four Big West Conference Regular-Season Championships Two Big West Conference Tournament Championships Two Team NCAA Tournament Appearances Three Individual NCAA Tournament Appearances One ITA Singles All-American at Cal Poly Nick Carless is entering his 15th season as the head coach of the Cal Poly men's tennis program. Through the first 14 years of his Cal Poly coaching career, Carless has directed the Mustang men’s tennis program to 169 total victories, which includes a 49-16 mark during Big West regular season play. During Carless’ first 13 years, Cal Poly earned at least one All-Big West Singles First Team selection and one First Team doubles pairing in every season. The Mustangs went 8-15 overall and 2-4 in conference in 2025, putting together a 6-4 home record under Carless. Under his watch, the newly renovated Comerford Pavilion was added to the Ronca Tennis Center, allowing for night matches for the time time ever, hosting the program's first against BYU on Feb. 21, 2025. Sophomore Raz Haviv earned Second Team All-Big West honors in both singles and doubles. Freshman John Cross, sophomore Sean Kamyshev, and senior Bastiaan Weststrate all were named Second Team All-Big West in doubles. Weststrate was also named Honorable Mention All-Big West in singles. Weststrate capped his Cal Poly career with a fourth straight year earning All-Big West honors. The Mustangs ended their season in the Big West Champio
