Deputy Athletic Director, Student-Athlete Well-Being (MBB, M/W Tennis)
Dr. Adrienne Ridgeway is in her 21st year overall with Marquette in 2025-26 and was promoted to Deputy Athletic Director, Student-Athlete Well-Being in May of 2025, serving as the department's lead internal administrator. Ridgeway oversees academics, sports medicine, sports performance, and mental health and wellness initiatives for Marquette's student-athletes. She is responsible for providing the strategic vision for the academic and student programs staff, which works with the group of over 300 student-athletes, and serves as the primary academic liaison to campus working specifically with the men's basketball team and women's and men's tennis teams. In addition to her academic responsibilities, Ridgeway serves as sport administrator to the Marquette men's and women's cross country and track teams and women's lacrosse programs and is a past Chair of the NCAA Research Committee. She was appointed the department's Athletics Diversity and Inclusion Designee (AIDA). Prior to Marquette, Ridgeway spent two years with the Milwaukee Public Schools as a Speech-Language Pathologist. She ran track for four years at Howard University in Washington, D.C. and received her bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology and master's degree in speech-language pathology while working as a graduate assistant to the athletics director. Sam Lebowitz currently serves as Assistant Director of Sports Performance at Marquette University.
