Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator
Chad Pearson joined the Wolfpack at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year. He serves as both an assistant coach and the recruiting coordinator for the track & field and cross country programs. Pearson joined the Wolfpack from UNCG, where he served as the head coach for eight seasons (2013-2021). In 2020, Pearson led the UNCG men’s and women’s cross country programs to a fourth-place finish each at the SoCon Cross Country Championships. Three Spartan men and three women placed in the top 25 in their respective races, helping the men’s squad earn 114 points while the women’s team compiled 140 points. The 2019 cross country season saw UNCG’s women place third at the SoCon Cross Country Championships (91) while the men placed fifth. The meet was highlighted by three Second Team All-SoCon honors, two on the men’s side and one on the women’s. Pearson’s squad posted a successful 2018-19 track season with members of the team combining for 11 SoCon All-Freshman honors between the indoor and outdoor seasons, and four of those accolades came in the indoor 5,000m. The cross country team additionally placed two men on the All-SoCon freshman team in the 2018 season. The 2016-17 year included two All-SoCon selections for the Spartan women in addition to a SoCon All-Freshman Team honoree. Associate Director of Strength & Conditioning (Women's Basketball, Gymnastics and Track & Field)
Felipe Lopes joined the Wolfpack Strength Staff in May of 2017 and was promoted to Associate Director of Strength and Conditioning in November 2020. His primary responsibilities include the performance program design and implementation for women’s basketball, track sprints & jumps and gymnastics. Felipe also coordinates the Strength and Conditioning Internship for the Olympic Sports Department. Prior to joining the Wolfpack, Lopes was a Strength and Conditioning Assistant/Intern at the University of Florida from January 2016 to May 2017. He designed the performance programs for the Gator gymnastics and cheer teams and assisted with the program implementation for women’s soccer, women’s lacrosse, swim & dive, track & field and volleyball. Felipe earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Education from the University of Florida and a Master’s of Science degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology from the University of Florida in December 2017. He currently holds the CSCS certification from the NSCA, the FRCms, FRA and Kinstretch from Functional Anatomy Seminars, and the Level II certification from USA Weightlifting. Felipe enjoys training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, hiking and fly fishing. He is married to Clara Engelmann, and together they are raising Ella, Leonardo and the best dachshund ever, Samson.

Assistant Coach (Jumps)
Jirah Sidberry joined the Wolfpack coaching staff as an assistant coach during the 2025-26 indoor season after a standout collegiate career from 2019-23. A two-time ACC Champion, Sidberry swept the conference long jump titles in 2022-23 indoors and 2023 outdoors, earning ACC Indoor Championships Most Valuable Field Performer. She was also a three-time All-ACC Performer, once in the long jump and twice in the triple jump. Sidberry qualified for the NCAA East Regional three times, advancing in the long jump in 2022 and 2023 and in the triple jump in 2023. She ranks among NC State’s all-time leaders in both events, highlighted by personal-best marks of 6.35m in the long jump and 12.92m in the triple jump. Throughout her career, she consistently scored at the conference level and cemented her legacy as one of the Wolfpack’s premier field athletes before transitioning into a coaching role.

Associate Director (student-athlete tutorial services, m. track & cross country, w. track & cross country, cheerleading)
Jody Moylon, Associate Director, joined ASPSA in 2001. In her current role she is an Academic Coordinator for Cross Country, Track and Field, Gymnastics, and Cheerleading. She oversees the Student-Athlete Tutorial Services and serves as the ASPSA staff liaison for facilities and technology. Jody is originally from Burlington, MA, but came to NC State for both her Bachelor and Master's degrees in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management. After playing soccer for NC State from 1993-1997, she continued on as a graduate assistant in ASPSA, before joining full-time. She currently resides in Cary.

In this position, he was responsible for the development and program implementation for youth, collegiate, professional, and Olympic level swimmers. Before CSTE, John was an Assistant Strength & Conditioning coach at Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU), designing and implementing the performance programs for Women’s Volleyball, Women’s Soccer, and Women’s Golf while assisting with Women’s Basketball, Baseball, Men’s Soccer, and Men’s Basketball. During the time he was at PLNU he was also working as a Performance Specialist at EXOS where he was responsible for the design and implementation of performance programs for high school, collegiate, professional, and tactical athletes. John earned a Master of Science in Kinesiology as well as a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership at PLNU. He obtained his Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University. Assistant AD/Sports Nutrition
Jonathan Tanguay was named Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Nutrition at NC State in November 2022. Prior to joining the Wolfpack, Tanguay worked at Texas A&M for over 14 years. Starting as a dietetic intern in 2008, he was able to build the program while growing professionally, being promoted Assistant Director of Sports Nutrition in 2009, Director of Sports Nutrition in 2010 and Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Nutrition in 2016. Tanguay is a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics and Registered Dietitian (CPSDA). He serves as treasurer on the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietetics Association Board of Directors. In 2013, Jon received the CPSDA Service Award for his work encouraging communication in the organization. He is also a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Sports and Human Performance Nutrition practice group. Originally from central Massachusetts, Tanguay graduated from Connecticut College where he earned his bachelor's degree in Zoology. In May 2007, he received his master's degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of New Hampshire. He completed his dietetic internship at the University Houston, which is when he started his work with Texas A&M athletics. In his free time, Jon enjoys seeing live music, traveling, skiing, mountain biking and running. Assistant Coach (Sprints/Hurdles/Relays)
Reuben McCoy joined the Wolfpack before the start of the 2022 school year as an assistant coach overseeing the Pack's efforts in the sprints, hurdles and relay events. McCoy comes to NC State after a year at Kennesaw State, where he guided multiple athletes to NCAA East Regional berths as well as a slew of podium finishes at the 2022 ASUN Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Prior to Kennesaw State, McCoy worked as an assistant coach at Syracuse from 2019-2021. While coaching the Orange, he assisted the coaches with daily operations of the program and assisted with coaching the sprints and hurdle groups. McCoy spent the 2015-16 and 2017-18 seasons at Auburn. In 2017-18 he was an administrative assistant with the track program working with academics and helping to coordinate team meetings, functions, travel and housing. He worked as a volunteer coach in 2015-16 helping to setup practice and organize home meets. During his time at Auburn, he worked with several successful athletes, including Akeem Bloomfield, who was runner-up at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 400m, and Nathan Allen, who garnered third-team All-America honors in the 400m. He also worked with Anthony Schwartz who ran a time of 6.59 seconds in the 60m and Shaun Shivers who qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Round with a time of 20.99 in the 200m. The men's team has won eight ACC championships and has finished as conference runner-up four times. The Wolfpack women have had four ACC runner-up finishes, and both squads have sent athletes to the NCAA Championships every year of his tenure. In the summer of 2023, it was announced that Rollie Geiger would assume the role of Senior Associate Director of Track & Field and Cross Country, while continuing to coach the men’s cross country team. Laurie Henes takes over as the Director of Track & Field and Cross Country as well as the Men’s and Women’s Head Track & Field Coach. During the 2023 outdoor season, Jamar Davis took home All-American honors for the Wolfpack at the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Championships. Cam Murray (110m Hurdles) and Gavin Gaynor (1500m) also qualified for the Outdoor Championships. Murray took home the individual ACC Title in the 110m Hurdles at the 2023 ACC Outdoor Championships in Raleigh. In the 2022-23 indoor season, Geiger coached Joshua Brockman, Alex Lang, and Murray to All-American honors at the 2022-23 NCAA Indoor Championships.
