Head Coach
Dave Warth enters his 29th year as the head coach of the cross country and track & field programs in 2025-26. Warth brings a strong background in track & field to the Tigers program. The 1989 Notre Dame graduate ran cross country and track all four years for the Irish. Warth served as the head track and field coach at nearby McQuaid Jesuit High School (1990-96) and continued to coach indoor track (1996-98). During that span, his teams won two Section V indoor titles and three outdoor titles. A 1985 McQuaid graduate, Warth set five indoor track records and one outdoor track record. He was also a member of the 1984 New York State Class A Champion Knights. Under his leadership at RIT, Warth's teams have achieved numerous championships, All-American honors, and national rankings. His athletes have won Liberty League Championships, competed at NCAA Division III Championships, and earned All-American accolades in multiple events. Warth's teams excel in the classroom as well, earning USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors repeatedly over the years. He has been named Liberty League Men's Indoor Track and Field Coach of the Year three times and Empire 8 Coach of the Year. Warth lives in Rochester with his wife, Mary Boutote, daughter Katherine, and son Raymond.

Kendra Bush '17 joined the RIT Track & Field program in January of 2024, focusing primarily on the throwing events for the Tigers. A standout thrower during her RIT career, Bush graduated a five-time Liberty League Champion and the program's record holder in the discus (41.06m/134' 8"). Bush's senior campaign included sweeping the shot put and discus titles at both the New York State Collegiate Track Conference (NYSCTC) and Liberty League Outdoor Championships as well as the shot put at the NYSCTC and Liberty League Indoor Championships. A native of nearby Palmyra, N.Y., Bush earned a degree in metals and jewelry design in 2017.

Nick Jones joined the RIT Track & Field program in January of 2024. Serving as recruiting coordinator, he also focuses primarily on sprints, hurdles and jumps for the Tigers. Jones spent 11 years with the track & field/cross country program at SUNY Plattsburgh, including 10 as head coach from 2011-21. He mentored seven All-Americans, 51 conference champions and 32 NCAA qualifiers during his tenure while also serving as an adjunct professor of theories and techniques in coaching track & field. He most recently served as head coach for the cross country/track & field program at Division-II Saint Rose (N.Y.) and was also a volunteer assistant at RPI, guiding James Zeolla to an All-American fourth-place finish in the pole vault at the 2023 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships. Jones also served as Head Cross Country/Track & Field Coach at Russell Sage for a season, mentoring the first Empire 8 Champion in Gators' history as well as 27 program record-breaking performances. Jones was a four-year member of the SUNY Albany track & field team, competing in the pole vault and multi events before graduating in 2008 with a degree in sociology and a minor in psychology. He holds certifications from the US Track & Field/Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) as a sprint, hurdle and relay specialist as well as sport psychology for the track & field coach.
