Head Coach
Brian Brecht has completed his 15th season as the head coach at Rutgers in 2026. Brecht has led the program to 114 wins and made two NCAA Tournaments, making back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in 2021 and 2022, and is a two-time Big Ten Coach of the Year. Brecht has led RU to three NCAA Tournament victories, including a Final Four appearance in 2022 and an NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals berth in 2021. Overall, Brecht has been a collegiate coach since 1996 and a sitting Division I head coach since 2005. Prior to his time at the helm at Rutgers, he spent seven as the head coach at Siena and spent nine years as a Division I assistant coach prior to that. Brecht has been named conference head coach of the year five times (Big Ten Coach of the Year in 2021 and 2016, MAAC Coach of the Year in 2009, 2007 and 2006), along with being named ECAC Coach of the Year in 2022. Brecht, who was named head coach of the Scarlet Knights on June 16, 2011, has made four NCAA Tournament appearances in his career as a head coach (two at Rutgers and two at Siena). Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Development and Success
Carey Loch is in her fifth season with Rutgers Athletics and currently serves as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Development and Success. She joined Rutgers Athletics in July 2021 after more than two decades of leadership experience across alumni relations and student affairs, bringing deep institutional knowledge, a student-centered approach, strong cross-campus relationships, and extensive experience planning and leading complex event initiatives. In her role, Loch leads life skills and leadership development programming designed to support the holistic growth of student-athletes on and off the field. She oversees the design and delivery of comprehensive education initiatives that emphasize personal enrichment, career readiness, and community engagement. A cornerstone of Loch's work in Athletics has been the creation of Scarlet Knights For Life™, a comprehensive, student-athlete–centered initiative designed to support lifelong connection, personal development, and career readiness. Prior to joining Athletics, Loch served in the Rutgers University Division of Student Affairs as Director of Major Events and Programs. Loch began her Rutgers career in 1999 in the Department of Alumni Relations, where she progressed from alumni relations officer to coordinator of special events and later associate director of special events. Athletic Trainer (Men's Lacrosse)
Conor Treacy joined the Rutgers Athletic Department in the fall of 2024 as an athletic trainer. Prior to coming 'On the Banks', Treacy worked as an athletic trainer at Monmouth University, starting there in 2021. While he was an Athletic Training Student at Seton Hall University, he interned with the Rutgers men's lacrosse team as well as with the New York Jets. Treacy earned a B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Delaware in 2019, and an M.S. in Athletic Training from Seton Hall in 2021.

Assistant Coach
Jimmy Ryan is an assistant coach with Rutgers' lacrosse program and serves as the team's defensive coordinator.He earned a promotion to the position for the 2020-21 season following three years with the program previously as Volunteer Assistant Coach and Director of Operations, originally joining the staff in 2017. In Ryan's first two seasons as a full-time assistant coach guiding the defense, the Scarlet Knights made back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances and earned victories in each postseason, advancing to the Final Four (2022) and Quarterfinals (2021) In 2026, Ryan oversaw a scoring defense in the top-20 nationally, holding seven opponents to single digits. Two defensive players earned All-Big Ten recognition under his mentorship. Short stick defensive midfielder Joe Juengerkes was named First Team All-Big Ten and goalkeeper Cardin Stoller was on the Second Team. Juengerkes and long-stick midfielder Ryan Spaline were named All-Americans. RU had eight wins, with the season highlighted by a double-overtime victory over No. 11 Johns Hopkins, the team's fifth top-12 win over a five-season stretch. In 2025, Ryan's defensive unit excelled, ranking sixth nationally in scoring defense at 8.88 goals per game allowed. This was the lowest goals per game allowed by Rutgers since 2011 and first time in the top-10 nationally in scoring defense in over 15 years. Sport Administrator
Matt Colagiovanni serves as Deputy Athletic Director, Chief of Staff. He has been with Rutgers Athletics for the last 24 years, most recently serving as Deputy Athletic Director - Facilities, Capital Projects and Internal Operations, where he provides sport administration, oversight of capital projects, strategic planning and facility management for the entire 24-sport athletic program. In his role as Chief of Staff, Colagiovanni will serve as a key strategic advisor to support internal planning and policy development. Colagiovanni was appointed to serve as the interim athletic director from July 14, 2025 through Aug. 5, 2025. On November 27, 2024, Colagiovanni was selected as one of the 20 members of the Rutgers Presidential Search Committee, which resulted in the hiring of Tate as the State University of New Jersey’s 22nd president. Tate, who took over duties as Rutgers President on July 1, formerly served as President of Louisiana State University. Colagiovanni also served as the sport administrator for the football and men's basketball programs. Olympic Sports Operations Coordinator
Theresa Randise was named the Coordinator of Olympic Sports Operations in May 2015. She works closely with Rutgers' men's and women's lacrosse, women's golf and women's tennis. Randise's responsibilities include coordinating and managing alumni events, team banquets, fundraisers, expense reports and travel arrangements. She collaborates with head coaches, the marketing and development teams to ensure that all goals are met and that all events are executed properly. Randise also works with the business office and compliance department to confirm that all paperwork is completed within NCAA regulations, as well as conference regulations. Prior to serving as the Coordinator of Olympic Sports Operations, Randise was an administrative assistant in the athletic department. Before arriving at Rutgers, Randise was President and CEO of Paradise Media Products, Inc., where she was instrumental in taking the business from a software-based company to the number one worldwide hardware distributor for Viewcast, Inc. She also worked as department supervisor at BNL Enterprises creating process flow and departmental guidelines for the company, and was as a legal assistant for Philip Tortoreti, Esq. preparing comprehensive legal documents. Randise graduated from Goucher College with a bachelor's degree in political science and government. She also has a paralegal certification.

Ulysses Molina, affectionately know as "Uly", has worked full-time at Rutgers for over 30 years. A 1989 Rutgers graduate (Cook College), Molina works in the day-to-day operation, managing the equipment needs of the men's and women's lacrosse and men's and women's soccer programs. Molina earned three letters as a football student manager at Rutgers from 1986 to 1988. Prior to joining the equipment staff, Molina started his career in the Rutgers ticket office. Uly and his wife Denise reside in Somerville. They have one daughter, Isabella, who is a graduate of Somerville High School and will attend Rutgers starting in the fall of 2022.
