Laura Busby enters her fifth season as head coach in 2026. Busby has compiled a 26-33-14 record in her four seasons managing the Falcons’ dugout. Busby led Air Force to a historic 2025 season, guiding the Falcons to an 8-7-4 overall record, their most wins since 2019, and a 6-2-2 mark in Mountain West play, the program’s best regular-season conference finish since 1995. Under her leadership, Air Force earned the No. 2 seed in the 2025 Mountain West Championship, the highest seeding in program history and the Falcons’ first conference tournament berth since 2017. For her efforts, Busby was named Mountain West Coach of the Year, becoming the first head coach in Air Force women’s soccer history to receive the honor since the program’s inception in 1992. Individually, sophomore Annika Jost was named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year, just the second player in program history to earn the distinction and became the first Falcon to receive CSC Academic All-American honors. Jordan Dillingham and Peyton Ferrell earned Mountain West All-Conference First Team recognition, while Zahra Friess, AJ Heap, and Trishelle Lopez were named to the Mountain West All-Newcomer Team. In total, Air Force’s seven conference honorees marked the most awards earned by the program in a single season. Under Farrell’s leadership, freshman goalkeeper Trishelle Lopez was named to the Mountain West All-Newcomer team after tallying 55 saves, a pair of shutouts, and a .725 save percentage in 1,260 minutes in the net. The 2024 season saw the goalkeepers accumulate 67 total saves with a .705 save percentage across the 1,620 minutes played. Under Farrell’s coaching, starting keeper, Kylie McElroy logged six shutouts (double the amount in 2023) and 54 saves out of the 15 games she played. In 2023, Sydney Davis led the Falcons with 13 starts in 18 matches, totaling 57 saves. Her 57 saves were ninth-most among Mountain West goalies. Cammi Bych also appeared in eight matches, making five starts, as the senior registered a 1.02 goals against average and a save rate of 82%.
