Chris Brown was named the head coach for the men's and women's swimming & diving programs, as well as the aquatics director at The University of Scranton in August 2019. Brown is a five-time Landmark Conference Coach of the Year, with back-to-back selections in 2024-25 on the women's side. He led the women's program to back-to-back Landmark Conference titles in 2024 and 2025, and has guided the women's team to top three finishes in each of his first six seasons. The men's team has recorded four top-four finishes under his leadership. Brown came to Scranton from Hartwick College, where he served as a full-time assistant coach for the men's and women's swimming & diving programs since July 2018. Before Hartwick, he was an assistant coach at Nazareth Area High School and the Blue Eagle Swim Team. From 2015-2017, Brown was the head swim & dive coach/aquatics director at SUNY Cobleskill where he led the men's team to an NEAC championship in 2017 and the women's team to back-to-back top-three finishes.
