Head Coach
Caitlyn Seamster was hired as the head coach of the Scranton softball program on Aug. 30, 2021. She enters her fifth season at the helm of the Royals in 2026. Scranton went 17-17 in 2025 and saw two players earn NFCA All-Region honors and three players garner All-Conference recognition. The Royals tallied 21 wins in 2024 and senior Sarah Stepnowski put together a record-setting campaign as she broke the single-season program record for triples with nine as well as the career and Landmark Conference all-time record with 20. 2023 saw Scranton post 15 victories en route to another Landmark Conference postseason appearance. In 2022, the Royals posted a 24-12 mark in Seamster's first season and earned the No. 3 seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament. Seamster came to Scranton from Rutgers-Newark, where for the last two seasons, she navigated the Raiders through both the challenging New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) and the COVID-19 pandemic. In her first full season as a head coach in 2021, Seamster led Rutgers-Newark to the NJAC Playoffs. Seamster joined Rutgers-Newark from fellow Landmark Conference member Susquehanna, where she served as an assistant coach for the River Hawks from 2018 through 2020. While on staff, Seamster helped Susquehanna reach the Landmark Conference playoffs in 2018 and 2019. Seamster's first coaching stop came at St. Lawrence (N.Y.) from 2016 through 2018 as an assistant, where she went on to earn a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. She
