Director of Player Development
Finlay Clark arrived in Foggy Bottom as the Director of Player Development in the Spring of 2025. He enters his second season with the program in 2026-27. During his first season in Foggy Bottom, Clark helped guide GW to 18 wins, assisting in setting the culture of hard work and excellence laid out by Head Coach Ganiyat Adeduntan. The program's 13 home wins were the most since 2014-15, and the Revolutionaries thrived in March, winning three games in the WNIT to advance to the tournament's Great Eight. GW's postseason push was the deepest WNIT run in postseason history, and matched the most wins in a postseason tournament since 1996-97. Clark joined GW's coaching staff after serving as a graduate assistant with Alabama’s women’s basketball program. While with the Crimson Tide, Clark was responsible for recording and distributing practice footage to the program’s coaches and players. He also assisted the coaching staff with opponent scouting, player development and analytics analysis as well. While in Tuscaloosa, Clark also assisted with the planning and execution of team travel, recruiting visits and camps, while also overseeing the program’s student managers. Prior to his time with Alabama, Clark was a student manager with the Texas A&M women’s basketball team. Starting in the fall of 2021, Clark quickly rose up the ranks and was named the Head Student Manager by the fall of 2022. His duties with the Aggies included leading the team of student managers, serving as a liaison t

Assistant Coach
John Hampton was hired as an assistant coach with GW in 2025 and was elevated to Associate Head Coach of the program ahead of the 2026-27 season. During his first season in Foggy Bottom, Hampton helped guide GW to 18 wins, assisting in setting the culture of hard work and excellence laid out by Head Coach Ganiyat Adeduntan. Hampton joined GW after a three-year stint at Rutgers, bringing a wealth of coaching experience to the Buff & Blue. While with the Scarlet Knights, Hampton worked directly with Rutgers' wings and centers, while also serving as the team’s defensive specialist. Under his tutelage, Rutgers saw one player reach the 1,000-career-point threshold, helping her to the 28th-most points in program history. During his first season in 2022-23, Hampton, along with Head Coach Coquese Washington, laid the foundation for a strong team culture both on and off the court. He helped guide the program to its 1,000th win all-time, becoming just the 22nd Division I team and the third Big Ten team to reach that mark. No stranger to the A-10, Hampton spent seven seasons with Saint Joseph’s from 2015-21. After starting as an assistant, Hampton was elevated to the program’s Assi

Assistant Coach
Coleman arrived in Foggy Bottom as the program’s Director of Basketball Operations after serving in the same role at Colgate during the 2024-25 season. Prior to the start of her first season at GW, Coleman transitioned into a coaching position with the program in late June. During her first season in Foggy Bottom, Coleman helped guide GW to 18 wins, assisting in setting the culture of hard work and excellence laid out by Head Coach Ganiyat Adeduntan. While at Colagte, Coleman held an Assistant Coach title while also working as the program's DOBO. She not only assisted in on-court coaching and player development but also oversaw all team travel, program budget management and helped foster a positive team culture. Before her stint with Colgate, Coleman was an Assistant Coach with North Platte Community College from 2022-24. Her stint was a successful one, helping guide the program to a Region IX Championship in 2023-24, while leading the defense to just 53.1 ppg allowed, the lowest the program had seen in the five previous seasons. Along with her coaching duties, Coleman was also North Platte’s Assistant Director of Multicultural Leadership and Engagement, where she spearh
