Eron Hodges joined the Oregon State football program as General Manager. Hodges has spent the past two seasons at the University of Alabama as Associate Director of Player Personnel and has previous experience at TCU, Louisville University, Texas Tech University, Purdue University and Ohio State University. He spent two years at TCU (2022-23) as the director of recruiting while also serving as a defensive analyst, working primarily with cornerbacks. Prior to working at TCU, he spent one year at Louisville (2021) as a recruiting coordinator and defensive analyst and one year at Texas Tech (2020) as the director of recruiting. Prior to Texas Tech, he spent three years as director of player personnel at Purdue and helped the Boilermakers sign the highest-rated recruiting class in more than a decade, ranked No. 25 nationally by 247sports.com. Hodges served as assistant director of player personnel at Ohio State for three years, joining the Buckeyes' recruiting staff as an analyst in 2015 after previously serving as a strength and conditioning coach. He spent the 2013 and 2014 seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Kent State, working primarily with linebackers. He began his career in collegiate athletics as a strength and conditioning coach at Notre Dame in 2012, while also working as linebackers coach at Valparaiso (2012) and Saint Joseph's (2015). Jeff Eaton will join the Oregon State football program as the Director of Football Strength and Conditioning. Eaton has previously worked at Virginia Tech University, the University of Miami, the University of Oregon, Purdue University and UNLV. He worked this past year at Virginia Tech as the associate director of strength and conditioning after spending the previous three seasons (2022-24) as assistant strength and conditioning coordinator/internship coordinator for football at Miami. He worked three years at Oregon (2019-21) in the strength & conditioning program and helped guide the football team to three straight appearances in the Pac-12 Championship Game, two conference titles and a win in the 2020 Rose Bowl. Eaton spent three years at Purdue (2017-19), helping the Boilermakers to back-to-back bowl games, including a win in the 2017 Foster Farms Bowl, and two seasons at UNLV (2015-16) as the assistant director of football strength & conditioning. He also worked in the strength & conditioning programs at Morgan State (2014), Baylor (2011), San Diego State (2009-2010), and Penn State (2005-2006). Eaton played defensive line for Lock Haven University and earned his bachelor's degree in 2009. Nick Pickett is in his first season with Oregon State as defensive graduate assistant coach. Pickett played in 45 games over four seasons at Oregon from 2017-20. Saluni, who hails from Concord, Calif., played in 51 games from 2021-24 for the Beavers, tallying 51 tackles, including 5.5 for loss. He added one sack with three pass deflections as a Beaver. Saluni came to Corvallis from Northgate High School, where he was a three-year starter at linebacker. He was an all-league selection during his high school career, and made 43 tackles as a senior. Steve McCoy joined the Oregon State athletic staff in 1998 as the Director of Athletic Equipment apparel and operations after a lengthy stint in the Canadian Football League. He was promoted in 2014 to assistant athletic director for equipment operations. "Lightning" as he is known in OSU circles handles the complete purchasing of all athletic department equipment assets. He facilitates the ordering and delivery of the product between manufacturer and the individual teams. McCoy is the point person for the introductions of new products and apparel to the coaches and administration, while maintaining the guidelines designed by the sponsors and teams. He has been an instrumental link in developing and expanding the relationships between OSU and Nike. McCoy came to OSU after working as the equipment coordinator for the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe and the Ottawa Rough Riders of the CFL. He also has served in a similar capacity for the Hamilton Tiger Cats and Toronto Argonauts. In addition, McCoy has experience as an athletic trainer in college hockey, junior hockey and indoor lacrosse. He is a 1989 graduate of Sheridan College in Ontario with a diploma in athletic therapy. Steve’s wife Bernie is the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager for Ventacity Systems in the Corvallis office. They have one Daughter, Alexandrea who is J.D. Candidate, Class of 2021 University of Oregon School of Law.
