Jarred Brookins joined the Oregon State coaching staff prior to the 2023 season. During his first two years with the program, he helped guide the Beavers to great success. Oregon State made the NCAA Tournament both years, including a run to the College Cup in 2023. The Beavers went 11-6-5 in Brookins’ first season on the staff, with a run that included four NCAA Tournament victories before OSU fell to Notre Dame in the national semi-finals. Oregon State ended the season ranked No. 4 in the United Soccer Coaches poll, the highest postseason mark in program history. In 2024 Oregon State went 10-5-3, and made the NCAA Tournament. The campaign included a seven-match unbeaten run, as well as a 6-2-2 home record. Four Beavers earned All-America recognition during Brookins’ first two years as an assistant, as Sergi Solans, Arnau Farnos, Logan Farrington and Javier Armas all took the honor. Seven players earned All-Region honors over the last two years. Six Oregon State players were selected in the MLS SuperDrafts during that span - headlined by first round selections Logan Farrington (No. 3 overall). Enzo Newman (No. 11) and Sergi Solans (No. 30). Brookins came to Oregon State after spending the prior two seasons at Davidson. During the 2022 campaign, he helped guide freshman Denis Krioutchenkov to Atlantic 10 All-Rookie and Second-Team All-Conference honors. Molina-Diaz served as a Graduate Assistant Coach in 2023 helping guide the Beavers' to the best season in program history, as Oregon State made its first ever run to the College Cup. Overall, OSU went 11-6-5 on the year, and one four NCAA Tournament games before falling to Notre Dame in the semi-finals. Oregon State ended the season ranked No. 4 in the United Soccer Coaches poll, the highest end-of-season mark in program history. The journey to the NCAA Tournament featured a number of marquee victories, including a road win at No. 1 Stanford, a victory at No. 22 Washington and an emphatic 7-1 win over No. 2 SMU in the NCAA Tournament's Round of 16. The team results were matched by individual honors, as Logan Farrington was named Pac-12 Player of the Year. Farrington and Javier Armas were both selected as All-Americans, while Luis Castillo joined that duo on the All-Region Team. In total six Beavers earned All-Pac-12 recognition. Molina-Diaz also helped guide three Beavers to selection the MLS SuperDraft, highlighted by Farrington who was selected with the third overall pick. Molina-Diaz was a part of the 2021 and 2022 Oregon State teams. He was named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team in 2021, despite having his season cut short due to injury. The Alicante, Spain, native scored six goals in the 12 matches he played during that campaign, tying him for fourth in the Pac-12. Molina-Diaz made eight starts in the 2022 season, as he battled back to fitness.

Janie Kearl joined the Oregon State Beavers as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach in August 2022. Kearl is responsible for the design and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, and Cross Country. Prior to Oregon State, Kearl was an Assistant Sports Performance Coach at the University of Kansas from 2019-2022 where she worked with the Women’s Soccer, Swimming, and Diving programs. She also previously served as a Strength and Conditioning Assistant at North Carolina State and completed internships with US Ski and Snowboard and The University of Utah in 2018. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. Janie, a Salt Lake City native holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Utah. While attending the University of Utah, she played on the Women’s Soccer team where she was a Pac 12 all-academic selection from 2015-2017.

Assistant Athletic Trainer (Men's Soccer)

Mallory Whitman joined the Beaver sports medicine staff in November of 2020. She provides primary coverage to the men’s soccer team, as well as secondary coverage to the men’s and women’s rowing teams. A 2018 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Whitman earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training while minoring in psychology. She then went on to earn her master’s degree in sport & exercise science while also serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Minnesota, providing primary coverage to the Gopher softball team. A native of Lincoln, Nebraska, Whitman enjoys spending time with her family and going on hikes with her dog, Gordon.
