Women's Lacrosse Head Coach
Liza Kelly is in her 19th season as the head coach of the University of Denver women's lacrosse program in 2025 after leading the Pioneers to their sixth consecutive NCAA tournament appearance and fourth-straight Big East Tournament title. The Pioneers finished the 2024 season with a 16-4 record, with all four losses coming to top-10 opponents, coming in at eighth in the country in win percentage (.800). Denver recorded a 13-game winning streak, the fifth longest in program history and a fifth-consecutive undefeated Big East Conference slate and fourth-straight tournament title. Kelly owns a 316-114 overall record in her coaching career and is 252-81 during her time at DU. She picked up her 300th career victory with a 5-4 win in the national quarterfinals at No. 4 North Carolina on May 18, 2023, becoming the 13th Division-I coach to reach the milestone and did so in just 409 games (.733). Assistant Coach
Spence put together a decorated career as a three-year starting goalkeeper for the Loyola Greyhounds. The Colorado native was a three-time IWLCA All-Mid-Atlantic Selection and two-time Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year and USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American. Spence played alongside Pioneer attacker Lauren Black with Team Canada at the World Games in July 2022. She posted a 5-0 record with 8.2 goals against average with 53 saves and 0.564 save percentage en-route to a gold medal performance.

Montgomery enters her first year with Denver in 2025-26. Montgomery spent her final year of eligibility as a midfielder for the Pioneers, leading the team to their fifth straight Big East tournament title and an NCAA Tournament appearance. Prior to her time in Denver, Montgomery spent four years at William Smith College where she was 2x IWLCA Midfielder of the Year and an IWLCA First-Team All-American.

Associate Head Coach | Offensive and Recruiting Coordinator
VanThof spent the 2023-24 season as the offensive coordinator and draw unit coach at Penn State. She helped lead the Nittany Lions to wins over four nationally ranked teams including then-No. 1 Northwestern and an appearance in the program's third ever Big Ten Championship game. VanThof is a member of the inaugural U.S. Women's Box National Team and is one of 23 players who will represent the United States at the World Lacrosse Box Championships in Utica, N.Y. from Sept. 20-29 2024. Prior to her time at Penn State, VanThof spent three seasons on staff at Ohio State (2021-23) and spent the shortened 2019-2020 season as an assistant coach at the University of Connecticut. A native of Livonia, New York, VanThof played three seasons with Athletes Unlimited. She was drafted 14th overall by the Philly Fire in the 2019 WPLL Spring Draft and was signed to the Command for the 2020 WPLL season.
