After guiding the Mountaineers for the NCAA Championships during the 2023-24 season, Covich was named the 2024 Big 12 Conference Golf Coach of the Year and tabbed a finalist for the 2024 Dave Williams Award presented by Golf Pride Grips, given annually to the nation’s top coach. Covich was selected to be WVU’s 12th men’s golf coach on May 22, 2014, as West Virginia reintroduced men’s golf as a varsity sport following a 31-year hiatus. He is in his 26th season serving as the men's basketball publicist and 19th year of directing the WVU Athletics Communications Office. In his 25 years with the men's basketball team, the Mountaineers have made 13 NCAA Tournament appearances, including two NCAA Elite Eight appearances, seven NCAA Sweet 16 appearances, the 2010 NCAA Final Four and captured the 2010 Big East Championship title. During that time, WVU has appeared in four National Invitation Tournaments, including an NIT title in 2007. WVU has had 36 basketball players earn all-conference honors during Messerly's tenure, including 12 first-team selections (Big East and Big 12). Messerly has coordinated the promotion of six basketball All-Americans: In 2006, Kevin Pittsnogle became WVU's first men's basketball All-American since 1972. The Cross Lanes, West Virginia, native was a four-year letterman and two-year team captain of the golf team at West Virginia Wesleyan, where he earned his degree in business administration in 2008. He received his master's degree in sport management from WVU in 2018. Reger resides in Morgantown with his wife, Nina and son Max.

Prior to that, Rosier worked at Lenoir-Rhyne University from 2017-20, as well as Lincoln Memorial University from 2016-17. A native of Montgomery, Minnesota, Rosier graduated Minnesota State-Mankato with a bachelor's of athletic training in 2014. He also received his Master of Arts in Teaching (physical education) from West Alabama in 2016. While there, he served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. Rosier is certified by BOC Inc. and NPI. He also holds certifications in American Red Cross (CPR/AED, ARC Instructor) and has specializations in mental health First Aid, human movement, KAATSU BFR, OnBaseU pitching and hitting, and performance enhancement.
