Shannon Welker Career 1999-07 St. Louis Gym Centre Coach/Program Director 2007-08 Bowling Green Assistant Coach 2008-13 Michigan Assistant Coach 2014-Present Missouri Head Coach At the helm of the Mizzou gymnastics program, two-time SEC Coach of the Year, 2025 WCGA National Coach of the Year and leader of the College Gym News Coaching Staff of the Year head coach Shannon Welker continues to make the Tigers a rising power nationally. 2025 The 12th season of Welker's tenure at Mizzou marked the best in program history, leading the Tigers to the NCAA Championship Final for the first time ever and a third-place finish, the highest final ranking of any Mizzou women's team. Missouri gymnastics achieved many program firsts along the way - its first individual national champion (Helen Hu on the balance beam), its first score of 198, the best balance beam (49.575) and floor exercise (49.725) scores in program history, the most 10s in a single season (five) among a number of others. In the postseason, the Tigers earned their first appearance in Session II of the Southeastern Conference Championship, where they finished fourth with a score of 197.400 - tying for the best finish in the conference championship since joining the SEC. The team went on to win its NCAA Championship Second Round meet over No. 10 Georgia, No. 21 Arizona and No. 26 Arizona State with a postseason-best score of 197.650 and earned a spot at nationals after taking second with a 197.425 in the Regional Final in Seat

Senior Director of Athletic Performance
Brad Ruhanen joined the University of Missouri Athletic Performance staff as Senior Director of Athletic Performance in January 2018. He works directly with softball, gymnastics, men’s & women’s golf, while assisting with all other Olympic sport programs. Previously, Ruhanen served as the Director of Athletic Performance for Olympic Sports at the University of Memphis from 2015-2018. He oversaw the training programs for 16 Olympic sport programs, while working directly with soccer, softball, and golf. Prior to joining the staff at Memphis, he worked at Oral Roberts University from 2011-2015, serving as the Director of Sport Performance from 2013-2015. While at ORU, Ruhanen managed the training programs for all 16 sports and worked directly with men’s and women’s basketball, soccer, and men’s & women’s golf. From 2009-2011, Ruhanen worked as a graduate assistant at North Dakota State University where he worked with football, men’s golf, wrestling, softball, and track & field. He also worked one year as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Michigan Technological University. Ruhanen was a four-year letterman in football and graduated from Michigan Tech in 2006. He received his Masters of Science degree from the University of Memphis. He holds his CSCS certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Jackie Terpak Career 2018-20 Temple Athlete 2020-22 Temple Student Assistant Coach 2022-23 Arkansas Volunteer Assistant Coach and Choreographer 2023-Present Missouri Assistant Coach and Choreographer Part of the 2025 WCGA Assistant Coaches of the Year and the College Gym News Coaches of the Year, Jackie Terpak joined the Mizzou gymnastics staff as an assistant coach in June 2023. As an assistant coach, Terpak focuses on choreography, assisting in coaching beam and floor, helping with recruiting and acting as a liaison for creative content. Terpak played a crucial role in the Tigers' success in the 2025 season, helping the floor squad achieve numerous program bests. The Tigers earned its two top scores in history on the apparatus - a 49.725 at Zou to the Lou on Feb. 14 and 49.700 on senior day against Auburn on March 9. The team's No. 4 final NQS ranking on the floor exercise marked the highest end-of-season ranking on an event in program history. In addition, she oversaw Kennedy Griffin's development, who scored the second perfect 10 on floor in program history. Mizzou saw three WCGA Regular Season All-American Second Team gymnasts as well in Amari Celestine, Griffin and Jocelyn Moore. Kendra Goodwin is in her second season as a student manager with the University of Missouri gymnastics program. A native of Ames, Iowa, Goodwin assists the coaching and support staff with daily operations, training logistics and meet preparation. She plays an integral role in maintaining an efficient and organized team environment while contributing to the program's continued success at the national level. Goodwin is pursuing a degree in psychology at the University of Missouri with aspirations of becoming a sports psychologist for a collegiate team. She chose Mizzou for its strong academic resources and championship-level athletic culture, noting that she "felt at home as soon as [she] set foot on campus." Outside her work with the team, she enjoys reading, working out, spending time with friends, crafting and trying new baking recipes. The daughter of Tonja and Dana Goodwin, she has one brother Trevor.

Rubin oversaw one of the most successful years on the balance beam for Mizzou in 2025. The Tigers set numerous records on the apparatus, most notably earning the top score in program history of 49.575 at Arkansas on March 14 and tying it during the NCAA Championship Second Round meet. She also managed the continued development of Helen Hu, who earned the 2025 NCAA Gymnastics Balance Beam National Championship and achieved three 10s during the season. Three Missouri gymnasts also earned WCGA All-American status - Hu on First Team and Olivia Kelly and Addison Lawrence on Second Team. In her first season with the Tigers, Rubin worked with Missouri's beam squad which finished No. 22 in the nation with a 49.295 NQS, extending the program's streak of top-25 beam finishes to eight consecutive years. Rubin helped Sienna Schreiber put together her best season on the event, as she individually tied for eighth in the nation on beam with a 9.950 NQS to earn WCGA Regular Season All-America First Team status for the first time in her career. Student Team Manager
Mackenzie Patricelli is in her second season as a student manager with the University of Missouri gymnastics program after competing as a gymnast for her first two seasons with the Tigers. A native of Barrington, Illinois, Patricelli assists the coaching staff with day-to-day team operations, practice setup and meet preparation. She brings a valuable athlete's perspective to her support role, helping foster a positive and focused environment within the gym. The team finished the regular season ranked fourth nationally in the event, never falling outside the top 10 for the entire season. Mizzou set five of the 10 best scores in the event in program history, including tying the second-best mark during the team's SEC Championship meet of 49.575. At the conference title meet, Mara Titarsolej scored the second perfect 10 on bars by a Tiger and won her second-consecutive SEC Bars Championship. She capped off her career in third place for the NCAA Gymastics Uneven Bars title.
